Another possible BIPP entry, but not sure which category now. do I enter it in the commercial category? or do I enter it for the Pictorial and illustrative category?

I did do a quick pole to find the most popular picture. However what surprised me, was most people didn't make the link that it was a NUT and BOLT

Always do a test shot when dealing with LED's, luckily I have come across this before, but you have to sync your flash fast enough speed to freeze the action, but slow enough to stop the strobing effect that is NOT picked up by the human eye, but is by the camera.

Shooting for the Selby Times News Paper, wandering through a field in Brayton, lens covered in dust.

With nearly 100 contestants from around the country, finding the local contestants can be challenging.

However not everybody's cup of tea.

A PR Shoot for a local band thats going places. 5 tattooed, spiky haired musicians. loads of moody shots, and really enjoyed myself.

However took FAR TO MANY PICTURES. But wonderful to work with.

Baby Portraits for Mothers Day

Sometimes baby's have a bigger sense of humour than you give them credit for.

Although sometimes they need a little persuasion.

The Versatility of Photography

Over the past few days I have been rushed off my feet. not just busy, but busy floating between a P.R. Photographer, a Social Photographer, A Commercial Photographer and a Pet Photographer. Well it certainly makes for an interesting life.

A Military Job, for a training course. a regular client.

Family sittings, the main stay of the studio.

Pet Portraits cute, but they make a mess of the white background.

Actors Head shots. ALWAYS busy with headshots - every time they change there hair or there look they have to get there portfolio updated for the next audition they get called to.

There is a fine line between shooting artistically to make it look classy, or crossing the line and making it look cheep.

All images shown with the clients consent.

Having the advantage of having a brick wall behind the studio leads to a different type of shot. Also it gives the client a wider choice when selecting there images.

Wedding at Selby Abbey

With wedding photography I find if I try new shots each wedding, it makes it unique and fresh. There is nothing worse than a photographer shooting each wedding the same as the last one.

This wedding was a wet weather wedding, so forced to think outside the box.

Studio Sittings

Just a couple of images from the studio shoots I had.

Even the family shots shot on black seem to be very popular.

Shooting against a plane white brick wall is the most chosen images in the studio.

However the plain white background is the easiest to work with (but less artistically challenging). Although this gives the photographer more of a chance to get an expressive reaction from the subject.

Images from the studio sitting (just rescued from an accidentally formatted disc) I am so pleased that I didn't loose them.

learnt my lesson, check and double check.
